Since everything I make is custom, your silky will be as perfect for you and your baby as possible--but do keep in mind that I'm human! Sizes are approximate, fabrics are influenced by dye lots and availability. But you choose the size, the fabric, the binding, and any other variables, such as the pacifier clip and ribbon, embroidery (though I do only have only one type style), or decal. If something must be changed, I'll call or write, whichever works for you.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you change your mind on a design already purchased and we have not made your product then we will be more than willing to process a change. If we have made your custom order please understand no refunds or exchanges can be made because that item was made specifically for you.
If there is a defect with your order please return the defective item and we will replace it. Contact must be made within 3 days of receiving item. Items MUST be returned to me within 7 business days.
Payment
Payment is expected before I begin. If no payment is received or contact made within 24 hours of the order I will cancel the sale. When you commit to a sale I will automatically send a receipt of the transaction to your email. This is JUST A RECIEPT OF THE COMITTMENT TO BUY AND NOT A RECIEPT OF PAYMENT. Please be sure to check out completely through the PayPal payment prompts to ensure that payment is made on your purchase.
We only accept PayPal for payments, when using PayPal you can pay using a bank/credit card or echeck. If you select to pay via echeck your payment has a 5-7 Business Day clearing time, please note that no work will be done until this payment clears.
Orders are placed on the queue as soon as payment clears, so remember to calculate how long it will take to receive your order from that point. Items take a minimum of 72 hours to make and 72 hours to ship, so the actual delivery time is 6 business days from clearance of payment.
Shipping and handling
I am just now figuring out the cost and the time the post office actually guarantee. I will announce my policy as soon as I can.
I cannot be responsible for lost or stolen mail, or addresses given to me incorrectly. Just let me know if you'd like to pay extra for overnight mail, special handling and delivery confirmation.

Necessity Is the Mother of Creativity!
The birth of my child gave birth to my business. I struggled so much with nursing and sleeping after Silas was born I finally sought professional advice. That was the smartest thing I could have done. I went to a class taught by a nurse who was bursting with creative suggestions and solutions that really worked. Her ideas had been tested by twenty years of new moms, and they saved my sanity. One practical idea was to buy two identical comfort blankets or stuffed animals so one could be in the wash and your child would never miss it. Another is that if you can't take a big, well-loved blankie with you, cut it into smaller pieces. Your kindergartener can tuck a tiny bit of comfort in his pocket.
My son very obviously loved soft and silky textures, and putting his face up against his "mom-made" silkies became the cue to fall asleep. A year later and it's still working! This success inspired me to start crafting all sorts of things mothers might need. I love sharing what I've learned from my baby. And the pleasure I get from hearing how well it works for other moms is so satifying. Because I've been able to find such beautiful and stylish fabrics, people often stop me on the street to ask where I bought them! New moms are so often buried under a pile of dirty laundry, exhausted and unbathed, just having something effective AND glamorous feeds their souls and lifts their spirits.
